The funeral of Bob Wade (1921-2008) was held at Eltham Crematorium on Tuesday xvi Dec at 10.15am. There was a rattling large plough out of people for this corking homo of chess - too thence much too thence that the stalls was shortly filled too many people had to stand upwardly inward the large auditorium.

In his appreciation, David Anderton referred to Bob equally "the manful mortal nurture of modern English linguistic communication chess" - too that is an first-class summary of a homo who did too thence many things inward chess. Sad though the occasion was, David's vocalisation communication was peppered amongst wit, tailored to an audience which knew Bob good too loved him equally much for his occasional moments of fatherly rage equally for his (much to a greater extent than frequent) practiced humour. Looking circular at familiar faces inward the audience, David said: "there tin survive few of us who didn't experience the sudden border of his natural language at about point" too the many chuckles inward the audience confirmed the truth of this statement. As David said, "Bob was equally tearing inward ground equally he was over the board" - precisely it was all geared towards the greater practiced of chess. David had been Bob's captain for Olympiad teams - "he was never the easiest homo to tell he had been benched". But truly these fiddling outbursts were rattling endearing. Bob didn't bring it inward him to function cross for long too inside minutes he was at corking pains to osculation too brand up.
